"Looking this much better has been a huge boost to every single aspect of my life."
Facial flushing, when chronic, is usually a symptom of Rosacea.
Rosacea is managed rather than cured. Many of the causes of Facial Flushing come from various “triggers” which can range from simple sun exposure to the foods you eat that cause the capillary dilation that is seen as a “flush” or redness.
Flushing that is not related to Rosacea may be caused by emotional states such as embarrassment, anger or anxiety. Also, when exposed to high temperatures, the body will automatically dilate the capillaries in an attempt to release internal heat build up.
This may occur in hot locations both outside and inside and a flushed face and body is a signal for you to rehydrate with water and take shelter from the heat source.
Some people will experience intense facial flushing as a result of exercise or exertion. Again, this is the body’s attempt to lower the internal temperature. Pay attention to these signals.
Women experiencing hot flashes during menopause will often experience facial flushing. Hormonal fluctuations will cause temporary sharp rises in body temperature. If you’ve experienced a hot flash, you are well aware of its intensity. Typically a hot flash will be followed by a sense of chill as the expanded capillaries have quickly lowered body temperature through perspiration. This can be bothersome and cyclic. Some women seek hormonal replacement therapy to help alleviate these symptoms. Menopausal Facial Flushing
